How to Volunteer
RCCS is grateful for all the volunteers that have contributed through the years to our growth and wants to thank you for considering volunteer service in our schools. Your help and assistance make the implementation of many of our programs possible.
Under Pennsylvania Act 153, volunteers, employees and other individuals who interact with minors are required to obtain three different background certifications:
Department of Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance
Pennsylvania State Police Request for Criminal Records Check
Federal Criminal History Record Information (CHRI)
The completion of the below steps is required before you may volunteer at any RCCS facility.
Department of Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance
Please visit Compass.state.pa You will need to create an account in order to submit a child abuse clearance request. Upon completion and submission of the clearance request, please be sure to print your completed clearance and your receipt.
Pennsylvania State Police Request for Criminal Records Check
Please visit epatch.pa.gov/home Select “Submit a New Record Check” and follow the provided directions. Again, upon completion and submission of the clearance request, please be sure to print your completed clearance and your receipt.
Federal Criminal History Record Information (CHRI)
lease visit Uenroll.indentogo.com Enter the code 1KG6Q9, this code is required for all Charter Schools in Pennsylvania. Then follow the provided instructions. After completing the online registration, you will need to visit an approved Fingerprinting location in order to complete the process. You can get information about the approved locations in the website. Once you complete the process at the “identogo” facility, please make sure you get the printout receipt with your id number to our HR office. We should be able to pull up the official report for our school records.
Act 153 requires these certifications to be renewed every thirty-six (36) months.
