English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher — High School
The Teacher will deliver core English Language Arts instruction to high school students. This 10-month position offers year-round pay, a balanced schedule with school holidays and extended breaks, and the opportunity to work within a collaborative, student-centered environment that supports professional growth. Candidates must hold a valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate; experience in an urban setting and bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred, not required.
English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher — Middle School & High School
As an English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher, you will play a vital role in empowering students from diverse backgrounds to achieve fluency and confidence in English. Your dynamic teaching methods will engage learners of middle and/or high school aged students, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. You will develop tailored lesson plans, utilize innovative learning technologies, and implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure each student thrives. This 10-month position offers year-round pay, a balanced schedule with school holidays and extended breaks, and the opportunity to work within a collaborative, student-centered environment that supports professional growth. Long Term Substitute Teachers — Middle/High School
Roberto Clemente Charter School is seeking two (2) Long Term Substitute Teachers for the Middle/High School: one (1) Math and one (1) ESL. These full-time, temporary positions provide academic instruction during a defined assignment period and are responsible for supporting students’ educational, behavioral, and social-emotional development. The Long Term Substitute Teachers will prepare and follow lesson plans, maintain attendance and student records, manage the classroom, assess student progress, collaborate with colleagues and school leadership, participate in staff meetings and professional development, and support RCCS policies, procedures, mission, vision, and values. The regular schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:15 AM–3:15 PM, with an hourly rate of $25.00. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, a valid Pennsylvania Instructional Certification, proficient computer skills, the ability to effectively manage a classroom, required clearances, and a negative TB test result. Teaching experience in an urban setting and bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred, but not required. Assignment starts on August 13, 2026 and should last through mid-November 2026.
Science Teacher — High School
Roberto Clemente Charter School is seeking a Science Teacher for the High School. This full-time, 10-month position is responsible for teaching assigned science courses, developing and delivering engaging instruction, maintaining a purposeful and equitable classroom environment, and supporting students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development. The High School Science Teacher will prepare lesson plans, maintain attendance and assessment records, grade assignments and tests, complete student evaluations and report cards, support curriculum development, collaborate with colleagues and school leadership, participate in staff meetings and professional development, and uphold RCCS policies, procedures, mission, vision, and values. The regular schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:15 AM–3:15 PM. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, a valid Pennsylvania Instructional Certification in a related field, computer proficiency, the ability to effectively manage a classroom, required clearances, and a negative TB test result. Teaching experience is required, with student teaching acceptable. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
Instructional Assistant/Substitute — High School
We are seeking a full-time Instructional Assistant to support classroom instruction in a dynamic urban school environment. This role is essential in reinforcing academic learning, supporting effective classroom management, and helping maintain a structured, positive, and engaging learning environment for students. Working under the direction of the classroom teacher and school administration, the Instructional Assistant plays a key role in ensuring instructional continuity, promoting student engagement, and contributing to overall student success; experience in an urban setting and bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred, not required.
Cafeteria Aide/Driver
This part-time Cafeteria Aide/Driver supports daily food service operations while also assisting with the delivery of meals to our elementary school using school vans. Responsibilities include transporting food within a two-mile radius, preparing and serving meals, maintaining cleanliness in the cafeteria and lunchroom, and following kitchen safety and sanitation procedures. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys local driving, hands-on work, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a school setting and supporting food service needs at both the elementary and secondary school levels.
Cook — Middle/High School Campus
The Part-Time Cook is responsible for preparing daily breakfast and lunch meals in accordance with applicable nutrition guidelines, regulations, and established serving deadlines. This position also assists with serving meals, maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen, cafeteria, and lunchroom, and supporting overall kitchen safety and sanitation procedures. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fast paced, hands-on work, values cleanliness and organization, and thrives in a school environment. Must have education AND/OR relatable relevant experience in food service AND cooking settings.
Custodian — 2nd Shift
A dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our Facilities Team. This position helps maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors by performing daily custodial duties, including floor care, restroom maintenance, trash and recycling removal, high-touch surface cleaning, basic preventative maintenance, groundskeeping, and support with school safety procedures. The regular academic-year schedule is Monday–Friday, 1:30 PM–10:00 PM, with summer hours generally Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, subject to the needs of the school. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of facilities maintenance or related experience, basic computer skills, a valid PA driver's license, and the ability to meet all required clearances and TB testing requirements. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, not required.
Athletic Coordinator
Roberto Clemente Charter School is seeking an Athletic Coordinator to support the development, organization, and coordination of the RCCS secondary athletic program. This position is responsible for helping provide students with a well-rounded athletic experience aligned with the school’s mission, vision, and Profile of a Successful RCCS Learner. The Athletic Coordinator will serve as a primary point of contact for coaches, student athletes, and families; schedule practices, games, and events; supervise and support coaching staff; monitor student eligibility; assist with athletic policies and procedures; coordinate transportation and event needs; and regularly attend school sporting events to support program implementation. This is a 12-month, part-time position, generally scheduled after school when RCCS sporting activities are operating, with no more than 29 hours per week. Candidates should have a valid driver’s license, proficient computer skills, required clearances, a negative TB test, and at least two years of experience working with youth, preferably in organized sporting activities. A bachelor’s degree and bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
