Update 4/10/2020

Dear Parents, Students, and Staff of the Roberto Clemente Charter School,

On April 9, 2020, Governor Wolf ordered all K-12 schools and programs, public and private, to be closed through the end of the 2019-2020 academic year. Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts, Head Start Supplemental Assistance Programs and Preschool Early Intervention programs will also remain closed, and institutions of higher education are prohibited from offering in-person instruction.

All of these decisions were made in consultation with the Secretary of Health, based on the most recent information regarding COVID-19 as it relates to the health, safety, and welfare of students, school staff, and communities.

Our elementary and middle/high school will continue with our plan of education for the remainder of the academic year with the goal of keeping our students connected and learning while they stay safe at home.

We will give special attention to our graduating class of 2020! Seniors will begin a digital “planned instruction program” on Monday, April 13, 2020. This program will give them a feel for distant/online learning while completing and earning their high school diplomas from the Roberto Clemente Charter School.

I recognize that this may create some inconvenience to members of our school community and we would like to keep an open line of communication with our parents, students and staff.

Please let us know if we can be of any assistance to you with the challenges of this pandemic. Also, please feel free to contact me or our Principals with any ideas that may help us to improve our educational processes.
